March 7 (Sat) 1 – 2:30 PM — Palestine 101 is a presentation that explores Palestinian history, the ongoing genocide & why your activism should include Palestine! It will be held at the Leavenworth Community Workspace (large conference room). The event is free, but our co-host is asking everyone to register in advance because space is limited! We may open a morning session if the first one fills up. Donations will be accepted to help cover the cost of the event space.
March 22 (Sun) — Wenatchee for Palestine will be traveling to Ellensburg to participate in a West Coast Boycott Chevron coordinated banner drop! March 22 is the day before CERAWeek, a major global energy conference in Houston, Texas where oil & gas CEOs (including Chevron CEO Mike Wirth) will be meeting up with tech oligarchs and government officials to strategize and determine everyone else’s future behind closed doors. This protest is done in solidarity with activists in Texas and the Gulf South.
March 28 (Sat) 1 – 3 PM — Wenatchee for Palestine will be tabling at the No Kings rally! Come stop by to chat and/or pick up zines or whistles! We’ll also have Palestine-related signs that people can borrow for the protest if you would like. There is a Mobilize page here with more information.
March 29 (Sun) 12 PM — Wenatchee is participating in The Great Ride of Return! Meet at Pybus Boat Launch! All wheels are welcome—bike, scooter, roller skates, wheelchair. The event is a benefit for the Gaza Sunbirds (donate here!). The Great Ride of Return is organized by the Gaza Sunbirds, and is happening in cities all over the world in solidarity with the Sunbirds and the Global Sumud Flotilla. This ride is particularly important because March 30th is Palestinian Land Day; and it marks the 8th year anniversary of the founder of the Sunbirds, Alaa Al Dali, losing his leg after getting shot by an Israeli sniper during the Great March of Return. The Gaza Sunbirds are also vying to represent Team Palestine in the 2028 Paralympics in LA.
