Take Action

We believe that activism is most effective when it employs a diversity of tactics, which means using a variety of methods to achieve a common goal.

In the case of activism for Palestine, this includes things like mobilizing in marches and rallies, voting strategically, and contacting your lawmakers to encourage them to vote how we want them to.

It also involves disrupting politicians’ public appearances when they refuse to listen to their constituents, and sometimes working outside of the framework of electoral politics entirely, using tactics like targeted boycotts and divestment campaigns to place economic pressure on Israel and on complicit companies in the U.S.

We also believe that activism has the most impact when you organize where you are at. Think about what you have the capacity to do, and what can be done from where you are right now.

After all, you have a lot more power within your personal faith congregation or your workplace or your specific community or city (or even your friend group!) than you have within the government.

We can leverage our small community power to help build up to bigger wins by taking strategic action right here in Wenatchee.

You, too, can participate! We often protest in the afternoon on Saturdays at Memorial Park. Occasionally we have cultural appreciation events, movie screenings, alternative protest actions, or organizational meetings instead. Join our Newsletter and Signal Group for up to date notifications regarding our events.

The most impactful way you can contribute is by participating in our targeted local campaigns.

So if this is your first time visiting this page, please check out our #BoycottChevron campaign and the Weapons Out of Wenatchee campaign for some actions that you can take to help!

Also, if you are part of a faith congregation or another community group or organization, please consider encouraging your organization to take the Apartheid-Free Pledge! Please let us know if you do so that we can promote your organization!

If you are doing nothing else, please at the very least participate in the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement’s targeted boycotts! We have compiled some BDS resources here.

If you have the ability to contribute monetarily, we urge you to donate to Palestinians directly through one of the donation links here.

If you have already done these things and are looking for something else you can do, it’s always useful to educate yourself and others on what’s happening currently in Palestine, as well as the history of the region! We have compiled some educational resources here.
