Contact lawmakers

There is a website called 5 Calls that you can use to contact your lawmakers on multiple issues!

Even with a ceasefire agreement, there will be no lasting peace as long as the U.S. government continues to supply weapons to Israel, so we must push our lawmakers to abide by our country’s own laws and enact an arms embargo, and we must continue to fight for Palestine until it is truly free. We must also stay vigilant against any laws that are intended to make it harder or more dangerous to protest or criticize Israel.

We demand 1) humanitarian aid be allowed to enter Gaza, including reinstating funding to UNRWA, 2) no more weapons or funding to the Israeli military, and 3) an end to Israel’s occupation of Palestine.

Have you contacted your lawmakers yet today? If not, please take the opportunity to do so now! You have several options. Please do at least one of these things:

Call

You can call all of them at once at this website. A script is provided that you can read off of if you don’t know what to say.

If you’d prefer to call them individually, here is Maria Cantwell’s contact information (she doesn’t have a Wenatchee office), here is Senator Murray’s contact information (she also does not have a Wenatchee office), and here is Kim Schrier’s contact information ((509) 850-5340 is the phone number for her Wenatchee District Office).

You can also call the White House comment line at (202) 456-1111!

Email

You can send a message to your representatives here. It provides a message for you that you can use, though it’s generally best if you personalize it.

If you’d prefer to email them individually, you can email Senator Cantwell here, can email Senator Murray here, and can email Representative Schrier here. You can also email the White House here.

Fax

You don’t need to own a fax machine to fax your representatives! You can send a fax for free here. You can send up to 5 faxes a day, which is more than enough to contact your representatives.

Faxes are delivered to the member’s office instantly (unlike letters), and sending a fax shows that you sat down and hand wrote your letter. If you don’t want to call, faxing is likely a more effective means of communication than emailing.

Kim Schrier is unfortunately not accepting faxes, but Maria Cantwell is! You can get the fax numbers for Senator Cantwell’s various offices here, and the fax numbers for Senator Murray’s offices here. You can also use this to send either senator a fax.
